| Join community volunteers for a morning of service and holiday spirit at the Seattle VA Medical Center Fisher House! The Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for families of veterans and active-duty service members receiving care at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Guests stay free of charge in a comfortable, supportive environment, helping ease the financial and emotional stress that can come with medical treatment far from home. On Monday, December 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., volunteers will help decorate the Fisher House for the holidays, bringing warmth and cheer to the families who will spend the season there. After decorating, everyone is invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch from Ezell’s Famous Chicken, provided by the Friends of Fisher House.
